On December 23, 2024, Microsoft removed Vice Chair and President Brad Smith’s byline from Microsoft’s 2023 White House commitment to advance safe and secure artificial intelligence.
There are various possibilities here, many benign, but one concerning one would be Microsoft trying to limit board liability if and when they don’t follow through with the White House commitments.
